Calderon slightly better defence, albeit, he uses it to the full extent and Mijares is more a fighter. Mijares better offensive skill by miles, jab, timing, punch variety, accuracy and what not are in another stratosphere to Calderon. I'd say Mijares has better footwork and head movement also, but again, he fights in a high workrate and doesn't go in defence first. Overall, it's not comparable, Calderon barely got by a guy as limited as Cazares, though size of Cazares was a factor, where as we could take a Bantamweight at Cazares' level and Mijares would crucify him with little to no issue.
If you just mean skills alone then I was on target. However, like I said, Mijares will get lured into slugfests and drop defence, kind of like how Guzman does. So Calderon utilises defence better obviously, as he is a safety first fighter, but realistically, Mijares when boxing outside is so difficult to tag that it's very comparable when talking about skill. But if we're comparing who utilises what, then Mijares because of how he fights, gets hit a lot more than Calderon, so that'd be Calderon utilising defence and gameplan much better. Offensively, you can't even compare these two, in fact, anyone under 118 can't compare to Mijares offensively, he's a machine.
Donaire is gonna beat Mijares ass. You should not have made that bet. Donaire is just a little raw, but he has GREAT power in both hands, he's fast as ****, and he has good technique. You made the WRONG bet.
