"I tried to learn from my loss (Arce) and correct the errors which i did, I proved myself on a personal level, and i noticed that i can do more than what i am doing right now and that is why im working hard in the gym and am back here."

"My father told me i need to move more and use more headmovement, because he says i do it well. I have to listen to him because i dont know about boxing, i just do what he shows me in the gym and everything is working out well so far, and i feel this was an improvement."

    :good

How involved is Sr. in his day-to-day training, do you know? Listening to his old man can't be anything but good for him. I know Lampley is always foretelling the evils and inevitable collapses of father-son working relationships in the ring, but **** Lampley. He loves platitudes too much.

Felipe Panterita Rivas is out wearing a sombrero five times too big for his rat-like little pin head.

Yes, I know sombreros are supposed to be like that.

Ok, it's 2.5 times too big for his rat-like little pin head.

I think the Marquez-Concepcion 2 has an undercard. We SHOULD be ok.

Interesting. They give Rivas' record as 11-8-1, as opposed to the 9-9-1 that Boxrec lists.

Calderon is giving up height, but that is nothing new for him.

Puerto Rican announcers say that a lot of places record him as 9-9 and others 11-8. But that he claims that he actually has some 35 fights...

Also when Calderon was asked why he doesnt retire, he said he wanted to reinvent himself.

    Round 1

Calderon moves left and unrolls his right jab, pushing down with a slow feel-out left to the body as well. Rivas doubles his left jab hard down the middle and fires a meaty right to the body as Calderon skips away. Heel-to-toe, Calderon is using wide circular movement and harkening back to his earlier career to make Rivas spin in place trying to stay squared up to him. Calderon is avoiding everything thrown by Rivas, and dives in with a left hand before holding. Rivas slaps him in the back of the head before they separate. Calderon answers with a couple of soft right hooks to the base of the neck next time he passes by. Calderon circles as Rivas narrows in. Clinch. HARD right jab by Calderon.

    10-9 Calderon

I'd trust what they said on TV. Boxrec is wrong a lot.
