i never learned... i forgot Floyd is a master in revising fight contract one day before the fight just to favor the weight he's expected to weigh-in... Floyd will just pay the penalties for not making weight just to have every weight advantage on Calderon...;)

I dont get all this weight talk as it seems to be getting more elaborate as everyday passes. I though the original contract stated this was a welterweight limit fight but that every pounf Floyd came in over 144 he would pay a severe penalty for.

All this stuff about he broke contract and chaged it a day before sounds made up. Surely he would only be breaking contract if he didnt pay any fines he incurred for coming over 144.

People seem to get this confused with 144 actually being the fight limit. There is a reason why Cotto didnt want to put his belt on the line in a welterweight fight at 145. Because it wouldn't be a welterweight fight.

jmm v pbf was a welter fight from the beginning.

I dont know about this one. We'll just have to see what the three judges have. Judges will be Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli

Floyd broke the contract that's why he's being penalized with $600,000... Otherwise he wouldn't have to pay penalties...

Good thing the warrior JMM decided to fight and didn't walk out...

That doesnt mean you broke the contract, it simply means that was a condition in the contract. You would only be breaking the contract if you didnt adhere to to that clause.

Therefore not paying the money would be a failure to live up to the contract.

Marquez couldnt sue Mayweather for coming in at 146 but he could do if Maywetaher doesnt pay the estimate $600,000.

Personally I wish he would have come in at 144 just to get rid of the size argument which wouldnt happen anyway. Size didnt even play a factor in the fight and people are bringing it up constantly. How many clinches did you see.

I think I saw 1-2 in 12 rounds. What I did see was great footwork, tight defence, quick jab and a left hook that landed almost at will the whole night.

Here is an excerpt from ESPN :

    "
According to the source, the Marquez camp knew Wednesday night that Mayweather would not make weight because Mayweather's team made overtures to Golden Boy Promotions in an effort to have Marquez agree to change weight on the bout agreements to be filed with the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
    However, Marquez's contract

Mayweather's contract with 147 pounds was not filed with the commission until minutes before the weigh-in. Kizer said it was supposed to be filed on Wednesday.
Kizer said the Mayweather camp asked to file it Thursday and he said OK, but that deadline also came and went.
"We were very unhappy with the lateness of Mr. Mayweather's contract," Kizer said.

woKizer said that had the bout agreements not been changed to 147, Mayweather would have

By the way, JMM was actually fleeced in initialing the chnaged weight stipulations because it would have cost Mayweather more than the supposedly 600,000 dollars he paid to JMM. The validity of this report is not in question as this is the Nevada boxing commissioner who was quoted.

Never believe Schaefer's announcement that the fight had always been at 147 because if it was so, there was no need to modify the cointract a day before the fight.

I believe that as a consequence of the fiasco, Mayweather as a compensation, signed for a few fights with GBP (some said as high as 5 fights). They basically sold-out JMM big time.

SAD story indeed.... but the clowns think the fight was even...... they forgot that JMM 3 fights ago was fighting at 130lbs while PBF has been fighting at 147 for ages...

Oh another thing! When PBF did not make it 144 and weighed at 146

DID THE FRAUD ACTUALLY TRIED TO SHED WEIGHT TO MAKE THE FIGHT MORE COMPETITIVE?!............ THE FRAUD DID NOT EVEN TRY!!!!!

Oh one more thing. I'll also quit if PBF fights a REAL FIGHT LIKE fighting PAUL WILLIAMS?! ..it means I'll never quit ESB!:rofl:rofl:lol:
