Round 2

Solid overhand lefts by Calderon, thrown up from a crouch and landing flush on the jaw of Fuentes. Calderon is moving in and out and circling to his left with quick crossover steps, never settling long enough for Fuentes to square up on him. Calderon circles and ducks in to tie up as Fuentes tries to slash down at him. Calderon is the ring general but not throwing much. So far halfway through the round it's been Calderon's few overhand lefts making the difference. Calderon chops up with the right jab and then knocks Fuentes' gum shield loose with a right hook off the jab. Slick pivots and shimmies outside by Calderon, ducking under Fuentes' jab and taking a lateral step to reset before attacking again from a crouch. Calderon chips away at the body from outside while darting in and out under Fuentes' meandering blows. Fuentes tries to palm his gum shield back into place as Calderon repeatedly slaps it out.

That was a classic schooling, and almost vintage Ivan Calderon.

Round 3

Big overhand left to the face by Calderon. Quick move to the left, and Calderon whips a few more out like wet towel snaps into the face of Fuentes. Lunging shots by Fuentes coming forward, with Calderon bending his knees and making him miss and then countering out of the crouch while dancing around him. Calderon is almost untouchable in this round. Fuentes' connect rate has to be like 2 out of 30. Calderon meanwhile is landing well over half of his power punches.
