Oquendo is waiting on the outside as Vazquez tries to time a 1-2, not giving it to him easy. Vazquez is hurt by a left hook to the body and grabs Oquendo. Solar plexus shots in the clinch by Oquendo. Jabs at close range by Oquendo, staying in front of Vazquez with lateral steps. They trade jabs and Vazquez gets the better of the brief fencing match, but Oquendo muscles him to the ropes. Vazquez spins out to the Tecate logo at center ring, and pot shots with single jabs while circling. Oquendo walks him down with jabs and rights, scoring between the gloves. Oquendo steps inside and changes it up, leading with a wide hook instead of his sharp jab and surprising Vazquez. A few pawed jabs by Vazquez backing up, and Oquendo marches past it - straight into a hard Vazquez right!

Oquendo is doubling jabs into Vazquez's face and pushing him across the ring. Uppercut to the body by Oquendo. Vazquez is hurt! Oquendo jabs the face and keeps firing uppercuts to the body. BIG right uppercut to the face by Oquendo while pressing Vazquez to the ropes, shrugging him into position with his powerful arms. Vazquez tries to slip a jab and nearly falls down, his legs unsteady. Oquendo walks him down with the jab.
