Funny you mention the Heavyweight Factory and Dychko.
    That was his problem.

The heavyweight factory should rename itself the kill your career warehouse.

There are boxing gyms across Florida, was my point. There are fight cards in Florida nearly every weekend. Don King has two cards in Florida in November and December. The November card is primarily heavyweights.

    You aren't fighting anyone anyway.

The November show has the WBA #14 Jonathan Guidry on it as well as the former WBA "regular" champ Trevor Bryan. Dychko is also rated #10 by the WBA. Can't get a slot on one of those shows? Did anyone call? Did anyone try? Would King let Dychko on the card if Dychko brought his own opponent to fight?

I'm sure Don could use the viewership boost if Dychko was added on.

That's just Florida in the next few weeks.

None of this is brain surgery. People fight stay busy bouts all the time on their way up. I've seen a whole busload of "opponents" show up together for undercard fights to fill out cards.

Boxlab Promotions out of Florida has a card on DAZN this Friday night. Did anyone call them to see if Dychko could get a slot on it? M&R Promotions has a card on Saturday in Florida. Did anyone try to get a slot on that one?

If you can get paid sparring gigs, you can get fights.

If the complaint is he needs to fight "better" fighters, well, he can fight "better" fighters in between fighting a lot of other guys and keeping busy. Promoters don't tend to care if you fight on nothing cards on the side to stay busy.

When guys like Kean, Balogun and Babic can get fairly high profile fights, it's a shame Dychkos career has stalled.

Sounds like he just has the same "syndrome" most Cuban fighters get when they turn pro.

Nice place to live. Decent income working as a sparring partner. Plenty to eat and drink. Beautiful weather.

Florida is a nice place to live. Winters in Kazakhstan suck.

You can go to a white sand beach in Florida in December and get a tan on your bald white head. The ocean waves don't make you want to punch anyone else in the face.

If a fighter wants to fight, he can find a fight.

I agree. Wilder numbered up his win loss record, and casual boxing fans see that number up front.

Dychko may as well get his numbers up to the high 20s/0, so when/if he ever makes a move he's a marketable opponent.
Olympic/Am. cred, great optics with his size, 30/0 or there abouts ... gives any promoter a lot to work with marketing him as
    an opponent.

The high win loss record worked for Wilder, seeing as many/most casual boxing buyers don't even Boxrec people's CV.
My sister watches a lot of boxing and puts in $ for the PPV - and most times if it's someone new she's going on the pre-fight info.
(BTW - she follows Women's boxing closely, and also like Mexican fighters [she's Australian]).

I’ve been following him. Last year, he signed with Probellum which was obviously the worst move possible. This year, he was basically gifted a lesser WBA belt and a ranking. He’s still horribly inactive, but stays in shape and trains with Yankello in PA.

I’m taking a guess here, but it looks like the WBA has to do him a favor and force an eliminator with him because the risk:reward is off the charts with him and he can’t draw on his own without the right promo.

Wilder needed to run his numbers up to develop as a fighter. You could throw Dychko in with Andy Ruiz on one day’s notice and he’d probably jab his face off.
