Dychko’s record compared to other recent olympians-turned-pro is night and day. Ridiculous.

They’ve all fought reasonable opposition except him.

Golota had many nationally televised fights on USA's Tuesday Night Fights previous to his fight with Bowe.

If we’re gonna compare, Deontay didn’t step up to Marrone level until close to 20 fights in. Dychko has much less to learn though.

No. There were negotiations between them, but it didn't work out.

Yeah dissapointing but he's within 12 months of turning pro and at least he's been active.

He will step up soon no doubt

Dychko has been pro less than a year.

I agree with this, but he does need better opponents, or at least more durable ones that won't fold as quickly to better himself as a professional. Mo Harris used to be a good test...5 years ago.

Or you have an attraction that draws our the journeyman eager to seek a pay day.

The heavyweight factory is not based too far from me. They do not promote skilled amateur heavyweights ( outside of Dychko ) , they attempt to convert college football or basketball players, and train them as heavyweight boxers.

Shame he signed with a glass-jawed bum promotional outfit like The HW factory

His trainer Derik Santos did say that he wants to develop him slowly so he adapts properly to the pro style first, so maybe that has something to do with the level of his opposition so far.

Dychko (181-18) isn't just an Olympic bronze medalist, he's a 2 x Olympic bronze medalist, 2 x silver medalist + 1 x bronze in the world amateur championships, a silver medalist in the world junior championships and he's fought and beaten a lot of the elite SHWs in the world

He will face serious opponents when he is 20/0, I think.

5-6 is more like it. He went 12 with Mansour in 2013, Lost a SD to Sosnowski and got completely robbed against Gerber in 2012, Stopped the game Rossy in 2011.. Lost to Thompson by 3rd round early that year in his last push for a tile shot(so close but so far) but before that fight he 4-0-1 since returning to the ring after 3 years off from 2007-2010 with the most notable win being over Nagy Aguilera who still sort of relevant at that point. So he was a fringe contender/gatekeeper until relatively recently. Lasting towards near the end of the Klitschko era. Not too shabby....
