Exactly. people can say what they like about Wilder ... but he made himself all the more marketable by having a high number and a zero next to his name. Wouldn't surprise me if one day it came out that Dychko took a payment or a deal from someone to stay out of the picture for a while, otherwise he has stamina issues come into play after 5 rounds. There's got to be some prestigious 'International Inactive Wasted Prime' ABC HW belt out there that he can fight Jalolov for.
The IBA. They do the five round fights a couple of times a year for amateurs that don't want to develop 10-12 round stamina.
It reminds of what Malik Scott did. Hopefully, Dychko has a higher ceiling. I also kind of fear that he'll win ever second of this in boring fashion and fall back to inactivity instead of creating a buzz and using it as a stepping stone.
Not necessarily for someone of his size. Zhang, for example. He could very well have a good run to cash out on.
Doesn’t have a style that ages poorly for a bigger man, considering how little damage he’s taken in his career.
Dychko should have fought someone like Franklin years ago, and Dychko is like 35 ATM and is taking the Zhang route. Franklin is a little too good to be a journeyman and is a awkward fighter but he isn't anything special, it is still a big step up from the part-timers Dychko has faced and wasted in his career. Dychko on points. If Dychko can genuinely dominate Franklin, it might be a good enough win that might prove he has something to offer still to the HW division.
At least Zhang was quite active when he turned pro. He was on one of Hearns´ Montenegro cards by the age of 36, in his 21st fight, but unfortunately then inactivity kicked in.
I don't think much was expected out of Zhang. I think Arum hoped to keep him undefeated and do one big fight with Fury in China or something.
