This content is protected Currently up: Immanuwel Aleem (15-0) vs Jonathan Cepeda (17-1) First round was close, but Aleem has been steadily picking him apart as the two stand in the pocket and fire off combos at the other. Aleem pasted him in the fifth and landed a long seven punch combo followed by a monster hook in the sixth. Aleem corners him in the seventh and has Cepeda walking sideways as the round ends. Good fight, if a bit one-sided.
Round 8: Aleem comes out, working the jab and peppering his foe with combos. Cepeda presses forward and lands BIG, clubbing right hand that knocks Aleem off balance! Bitter trade ensues, with Aleem getting the better of it. Aleem walks forward and snaps back his foe's head with a jab, and follows with a nasty lead right a few moments later. Aleem takes another right and walks through it to land a better right of his own. Cepeda swings and misses and then sways out of the way of Aleem's chopping right as the round ends. Good round and a good end to a hard-fought bout. 80-73 Aleem.
I've always got that tweaked out methhead vibe off of Redkach, and his new haircut is doing nothing to change that perception.
Fairly excited about the main event. Never liked Redkach, at all, to be honest. Always struck me as something of a douche bag.
He always seemed to have no ability to take any clean, decent shots. Not able to watch, was he visiting the floor ? Or was that you messing with us ?
