Round 1: Redkach stalks behind the jab and drops a few experimental lefts to the body. Cruz circles away but is eventually trapped on the ropes. Ivan fires away with both hands, but Cruz counters pretty effectively and circles away. Good right hand from Cruz to the body and he's the one moving forward as the round ends. Cleaner punching beats harder punching, imo. 10-9 Cruz Round 2: Redkach continues to stalk, but Cruz times him with a NICE right hand that drops Ivan to the seat of his trunks! Redkach gets up quickly, but is still getting countered pretty regularly. Good left hook from Cruz as the round ends. 10-8 Cruz 20-17 Cruz.
Round 3: Redkach seems to realize that he needs to make something and works with more intensity, landing a couple of nice lefts. Cruz has nice sequence where he lands several nice rights to the body, but Redkach comes back and regains control with another couple of lefts. 10-9 Redkach 29-27 Cruz
Round 4: Redkach lands a nice left at the beginning but in general he seems content to follow his foe and catch the occasional counter right to the body or left hook upstairs. Cruz fires a number of three punch combos, and the third seems to land pretty frequently. 10-9 Cruz 39-36 Cruz
Round 1 Redkach 10-9 Round 2 Cruz 10-8 Round 3 Redkach 10-9 Very Close Round 4 Cruz 10-9 Round 5 Cruz 10-9 Very Close Redkach had a great last 15 seconds but it wasn't enough.
Round 5: Similar pattern to the last round, with Cruz pot-shotting, circling away from danger and firing combos to the body and head. But in the last twenty seconds Redkach hurts him with a right hook and follows up with a combination that has Cruz looking a bit shaky at the bell. 10-9 Cruz, but that could swing the other way.
