I thought that probably would be interesting to make a thread about the International Vale-Tudo Championship.....maybe some of you are not so familiar with the event….perhaps would be nice. Like many know, IVC rules were minimal, no eye gouging, no biting, and pretty much that was it....low blows weren´t punished ! Headbutts were allowed.....etc. Many great fighters were in IVC: Wand Silva, Liddell, José Pelé, Mark Hall, Dan Severn, Gary Goodrige. Guys like Rafael Cordeiro, former coach of Chute Boxe fought in IVC as well.... Let´s discuss the IVC, the best fights....what´s the general opinion here ?? Lying on your back with your guard open while your opponent stood above you was an awful idea in IVC.

Also he is a MMA commentator in the Canal Combate, where the UFC is televised....he is awful commentator btw lol
The Severn v Braga fight always makes me wonder ''What if'' he had fought Royce like that instead on just pinning him to the mat for 15 minutes. Good thread btw Vic, some good fights there too watch (again:yep) when Im at home :thumbsup
Pretty sure most of the guys are grease up as well. Could just be the Brazilian heat, but most of the guys are very slippery
Btw, I said it before here, the IVC will be back this year (september IIRC), with modern rules but Sergio Batarelli (the boss os the IVC) is saying that the cards will be very solid with famous foreign fighters too, like it was before....

Batarelli will change the name to IVC MMA, and it will be in a cage not in the ring.....(too bad, IMO would be great to see MMA in the ring again here in Brazil, I miss it).... Actually Dana White will support the new version of IVC to promote new brazilian fighters to UFC...
