My take on him is that he parades as a snobbish historian but doesn't really have the knowledge to back it up.

 

Having Floyd #3 is a sin in boxing nobody presently better than him I would go little farther I have never seen a better defensive fighter than Floyd he makes good boxer looks bad.

I go back and forth between mayweather and Benitez in defense
I think the hearns fight with Benitez (which is a masterclass) is the issue
I don't see Floyd not getting knocked out by hearns

I know mayweather never really faced that kind of class but you'd have to say mayweather would usually give a better account for himself

Round 4. He stumbled backwards and covered up and then flicked out a lazy jab after Pac backed off. Then he went back to the ropes again to continue recovering. If he wasn't hurt, he'd have countered or pivoted away.

 

I love Toney but Mayweather has accounted himself better over the years as a defensive fighter.
