No, top 3 p4p and undisputed #1 in the division having just tanked the #2 in three rounds isn't enough apparently. In this instance, I guess fighters who are actually classed as "elite" at any particular point must be in a minority of one. I despair sometimes... :patsch

No. Tyszu WAS an elite but was clearly shopworn when he fought Hatton. It was a great victory but you need to look at it in the light of what it was.

Did he stop being elite at some point just before the fight or during it?

You know, because he was by wide consensus in the top three P4P fighters in the World 7 or 8 months previously, so that sounds like he was elite then....

Yes, and it is also logically impossible for someone to beat one of those rare 'elite' fighters because the very act of them being beaten apparantly proves that they weren't actually elite anymore anyway.

Add in the Parris factor and it takes some shine off it. Still, this is the one performance I've given Hatton much credit for, as I think it was the best he ever fought in terms of intensity. He's never been quite the same since.

I think this was his only victory over a top opponent that could still perform to that standard.

I stand by my point - it was obvious by the third round that Tyszu had lost a step. He still gave Ricky all he could handle. I actually think that fight ruined Ricky - he took such a beating that his punch resistance seems ****ed now. He's looked dreadful ever since.

Months?! Closer to 2 years I'm afraid.

Castillo's actual form was a SD over Herman Ngoudjo.

what a way to make a living - defending Hattons image :dead:dead:dead

still it pays well - it would pay even better if Ricky and Ray didnt insist on taking GazOC's bonuses

Ricky was probably haggling over 1 or 2% of the bonuses.

GazOC got the job offering the Hattons a strict policy of

    NO WIN - NO FEE

    Hattons accepted the offer

but put a clause in GazOC's contract of

    WIN - NO BONUS

GazOc has successfully marketed the Hatton image and kept the public buying into the nice guy hype

its important he does his job properly and fool the public with Public Relations Marketing

Because if Rickys image gets tarnished in anyway - GazOC might get sacked

But so far GazOC has been good at the job and kept Hattons image in a good light fooling the British Public

anytime a Betty Swollocks comes along - GazOc does his bit as Public Realtions Defence Lawyer !!!!!

Agreed, mate. I can't see how this wouldn't be an accurate reading of events.

It's amazing how Trotter and GazOc are always Online at the same time. I think they both post out of the Hatton office.

Trotter (Ray Hatton) employs GazOC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scularantings accused GazOC of working for Frank Warren Sports Network

But this is his former employer

GazOC left sports network along with the Hattons

They wanted to cut GazOC out of the money line - but realised how good he is at protecting Hattons public image

GazOC does indeed post out of the Hatton office !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If he ever said anything about Ricky negative he would be sacked

His job is to build up a nice guy image of Hatton

and to "serve and protect Hattons public nice guy image"

this way Hatton keeps his deluded fans and makes more fans

GazOc's job is crucial to Hattons popularity:deal

I see, Flint. This is quite enlightening. I was completely innocent and naive to the personalities we have around us in the Brit forum.

I wonder if they have a Keylogger on the computers in the office. This would explain why not a negative word is spoken about Ricky and anybody that dares question anything is literally shot down and persecuated - made to feel small.
