It's not being beaten that pulls you down - Judah was still an elite talent despite losing to Baldomir. It's that Tyszu hasn't fought again. He had slipped and degraded in ability. Add in the awful reffing and what basically was a wrestling match with some punching and you have Ricky's best win. It was a good win.

You can just accept that it's no big deal - but when Ricky faced a prime elite, he got flattened. Completely flattened - he was less competitive than Zab, who DIDN'T beat Tyszu.

    yeah I agree

Some people never fight a "elite" in their whole career - so losing to one aint bad

Clinton Woods fought one in Roy Jones

Colin Jones fought one in Don Curry

Davey Green fought one in Sugar Ray Lenoard

Frank Bruno fought one in Mike Tyson

Calzaghe fought a fringe / old one in Bernard Hopkins

all them lost - or nearly lost in Calzaghes case

I'm not a Hatton fan - but of course he is World Class - best at light welterweight in his peak -

No doubt, he's a world class fighter. he takes his ugly style and beats other guys, but there aren't many good names on the resume since Tyszu. The Castillo he faced was a worn-out old shell, Urango? Come on...

Malignaggi was never that good either and people talk about that as if it proves Ricky's incredible boxing talent.

I think its long over due that you log off your computer out of the general forum

Stop debating things like Ali's Jab was quick enough to counter Lennox Lewis right hand

and Sandy Saddler had too good a footwork for Naseem Hamed

and George Foreman would have had diffculty with Tysons upper body movement

and Calzaghe would have had to work hard to outpoint Marvin Hagler

and Manny Pac had a better uppercut than Azumah Nelson

and Salvador Sanchez had better chin than Floyd Mayweather

and all these pointless fantasy debates you are always seem to be posting

Go to a gym or something and let off some steam

I honestly mean this as good advice not a insult

do something like have a good workout - get a activity

then you will get a more healthy perspective on life

and realise it dosent matter **** all - its not important - if Thomas Hearns speed could have countered Carlos Monzons overhand right

Posts like this make me laugh.

Mention the Tszyu win and bang on about the ref.

Mention the Mayweather loss and don't mention the ref at all.

You can't have your cake and eat it.

You are making this 'elite' thing up as you go along.

You've really dropped a clanger with this Zab thing, what a terrible example, particularly claiming he was still 'elite' after that horrendous loss to Baldomir. If he was one of the best fighters on the planet ... oh dear.

It looks like you are juggling the criteria to suit your argument.

    True self-exposure here I'm afraid.

Judah loses to a journeyman and you still consider him still an elite fighter.

Tszyu destroys the number two rated fighter in his division and is no longer elite.

I think that's all we need to know really.
