I've Been Away How Was Morales/Diaz and Vazquez/Marquez 2?

and Vazquez won the rematch....he just bought the pressure from the start of the fihgt and busted up marquez. both had a knockdown, when marquez went down in the 6th....his legs were gone and then came the stoppage after he was hurt again and basically out on his feet.

 

Morales-Diaz was a close fight which Diaz won. Could've gone either way.

Vasquez defeated Marquez, they are going to have a third fight.

 

Vasquez was not knocked down, he clearly got his feet tangled, and when he got up he was not hurt.

 

Two good fights.

Morales was much smaller than Diaz at 135 and though he was much more skilled Diaz was too big and agressive and around the 8th round Morales looked tired. Fair decision. Morales was the more skilled fighter but Diaz won based on his conditioning and strength. Morales also showed that his chin is still one of the most solid in boxing, and that Diaz's isn't.

Vasquez vs Marquez was a great fight with Vasquez IMO clearly the more powerful of the two while Marquez was the more elusive and skillful. However after a few rounds of toe to toe boxing with some decent skills and counterpuching, defense became very minimal and Vasquez started landing massive powers shots on Rafa while Marquez was also landing some good shots and had Vasquez cut really bad over both eyes.
However Vasquez was taking Rafa's punches better than vice versa. Anyways the ref stopped the fight after Marquez was badly wobbled by Vasquez. He should have been allowed to go on IMO but the ref came in with an early stoppage. Great fight though.
