Stiverne is no world beater, this is true. He reminds me a little of Lamon Brewster, a guy who in a stronger era wouldn't sniff a title, but looks pretty formidable in a sea of mediocre HWs.

Wilder is a guy with a very padded record who has given no indication he can hang with a fighter of even Stiverne's calliber.

Would I say it's absolutely impossible for Wilder to beat him? No, of course, not. Upsets happen in boxing and sometimes the lesser fighter wins. But if Wilder did win, imo, it would say far more about Stiverne's limitations than anything else.

I don't disagree with this. I slightly favor Stiverne myself, largely for the reasons you habitually exclaim. But Wilder can pop, and other than the Arreola fights, I haven't seen nearly enough of Stiverne to have faith in him. But Stiverne must at least have some power, at least enough to level out Wilder based on the evidence.

My prediction is first big punch landed could probably win it, and I think Stiverne is more skilled and will find ways to land big while Wilder, who often struggles to land his power on overweight bartenders and broken down bar room brawlers, may take forever to figure Stiverne out.

I'm quite interested in this one, actually. Should tell us a good deal about both fighters (although it may not).

WOAH SERIOUSLY? NEWS FLASH GUYS. DEONTAY HAS GLASS?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?

I always thought the reason why he was fighting bums was because everyone was afraid of him though???

Damn if Haye is good. Those counterpunches are fantastic. Without pillow gloves Wilder would have been picked up two hours later.

his plan is not to let stiverne have a crack and try to get him out quickly notice he never waste time because he knows he is packing fine glass

Fold like a house of cards the moment the first good punch lands.

Seriously, Wilder's glass jaw is gonna get shattered into a million pieces. If I were ringsiders, I'd bring a shield. The shards are gonna be flyin' all over the place!!!:yep

He'll get KO'd sooner or later, it's not a matter of if but when, it's the glorious moment many of us are waiting for.

Here's the deal. If you are knocking out guys like Chris Arreola, that indicates you hit a hell of lot harder than someone whose KOs are mostly over construction workers and auto mechanics. Hell, even Ray Austin is better than virtually all of Wilder's opponents outside of maybe Malik Scott. And that fight looks rather suspect if you ask me.

So, as I see it, Wilder's "power" is much more a product of who he's faced than anything else. His "opposition" also accounts for why his glass jaw hasn't been completely shattered yet. When you face tomato cans like he has for so long, something's up!

And now we have all these reports of Wilder getting knocked out in sparing! Big surprise there. Even a couple of the stiffs he's padded his record with have had this glass jawed joke on the canvas. Seriously, Rummy, this one's a no-brainer. Unless Stiverne's been paid to take it easy on him, this one's ending early.

Wilder's chin is suspect to say the least. Knocked out in the ams, KD'd twice in the pros, and now, apparently, laid out multiple times in sparring. Sounds like he's hiding some glass in that chin.

Wilder's going to sleep when Stiverne hits him.

Don't forget that Wilder has terrible balance and tends to lunge.

I found this site called the "Glass Jaw Reporter," but they are predicting Wilder to beat Stiverne.

So i had to set them straight by posting the following comment:
