Rodriguez is looking for an opponent for Oct 15th in El Paso. He's 32 y/o, 35-0 33KOs and has an excellent chin and power in both hands.

Somehow Wilder is getting fights with Cclass fighters, whereas Rodriguez can only get boxcar willies to answer his calls. If that tells you anything..........

I guess Johnathan Banks, Boswell, and Stiverne have all refused to fight el NINO on the 15th of Oct, perhaps Wilder has the heart to answer the call, and fight the lower ranked Rodriguez.

 

Unless Deontay really works on his defense and can learn how to jab and grab, he won't amount to anything.

The guy's chin is AAA china and will get shattered by any full time boxer with some power, unless he learns how to avoid shots better.

 

Deontay is nowhere near filled out. I've seen him up close. His legs are very thin for such a tall man. His punch resistance will be much better when he has fully grown into that frame.

 

And he has lots of us talking which is always a good thing. Decent prospect who takes his training seriously but hopefully he steps it up a bit in the next 12 months.

 

He's getting high quality sparring. I wish he'd get with an established trainer to develop some defense. He's got all the tools.

 

His china chin won't let him progress in boxing.

He'll never be more than a journyman.
