ok you know the way things go in boxing, we all knw the silly things happen in order for the big things to happen, and they go on all the time day after day............. i dont think haye will now retire in oct 2011 as he has allways said he will, i think he will box on for at least 2 more years......... basically this is why i now think that the haye vs wlad fight has still not happened..........neither haye or wlad will lose their titles to anyone they face in the next 6/12 month's, thats no rocket science.........if vittali says he will retire towards the end of 2011 then where will the wbc belt go???........ive looked at the rankings and i dont know how to work out where the belt will go if vittali vacates, but if this is vits plan to go at the end of this year and lets say the wbc belt goes to wlad then a fight with wlad vs haye would be bigger than ever thought, a true unification of the HW crown would be a massive event....................... is this possible, who knows what would happen as regards where and who vittali's WBC would pass on to?.......like i said i dont knw myself im asking someone who knows more than me on vacating belts........ but lets say this is what would happen you can now see why the fight with wlad and haye has not yet come to fruition, is there anything to that??.....i dont know maybe maybe not.... cheers all.:bbb
If Vitali retires the top 2 avaliable HWs will fight for the vacant title, the WBC won't just "give" it to Wlad.
****, just cos i dont know how vacating a title works does not mean i have no clue about boxing.............. moron.
thanks mate......so would that then mean that it would be contested between wlad and haye being the other champs or would it be the WBC number 1 and 2 contenders?
No, what usually happens is that the top 2 ranked guys will not be champions of other organizations. The WBC doesn't rank fighters that hold other versions of the title. Currently the top 2 guys are Austin and Solis, they'd fight for the vacant title.
