I don't care how many tickets cokzaghe sold. I never claimed that the majority of English boxing fans are smart. In fact I've stated many times the opposite. English fans will pack stadiums for garbage fights and not recognize a fixed fight when it crawls up there collective ass and dies. Your living proof that not every English fan is knowledgeable. To the English posters in this thread who are not brain damaged, please disregard.[/quote]

Is that why so many American fans clambered to see De La Hoya fight guys like Oba Carr, Stevie Forbes and the very special Patrick Charpentier.
The fight you mention set a record because it was 2 world class SMWs the top 2 at that, and you cant argue because your claiming how the super 6 is the next big thing and Kessler was considered the #1 when entering and he had been exposed and beaten by Joe. But as for the not knowledgable part, when have you ever been able to disprove any of these facts? Never, and you say Im not knowledgable. Think Robert think

One of three good fights out of 44. Bravo. Your right I cannot disprove your "facts". Your "facts" are nothing but the opinions of a fight fan with no clue. I'm confident I'll never teach you anything, your too ****ing hopeless. ODLH fought a murders row compared to the object of your man crush. He has 5 fight stretches better than Joes whole 44 fight "resume".

Facts arent opinions Robert, I gave you a bit of Veits history, how is that part an opinion? Its not and you are just trying to change your point because you cant answer with facts, only opinions.
Your right you wont teach me anything, but I have schooled you on many occassions, and all the time you call me out I will continue to do so, Its not hard to do.
Your changing the subject on De La Hoya by mentioning his career, I could easily name more than 3 fighters, but it was about you saying about fans filling venues for nothing fights and its something else you have failed to answer in your insult to British fans. American fans flocked to see Oscar fight Darryl Tyson as well. Is that any different? No.

Agreed. In the end, a fighter fight who he fights. There are lots of reasons for fights not happening.
It really doesn't matter what the reasons were or who's fault it was.
Agreed. But, ironically enough, it is this same Joe Calzaghe who helped in large part to bring the then obscure division to prominence.

But, I agree with the idea that SMW was not a particularly prestigious or talent packed division for the most part.

Is the calslappy love feast still going on . . .yawn? Nobody cares about your hero . . . maybe just maybe if you to it to the euro-board you may find someone who gives a crap the regional champ of a second rate division

I agree with you on that point when you have a dominate champ it does bring focus and prominence to a division . . . in fact because of Joe the profile of the SMW division is at an all time high

Whoever thinks that winning over 30 professional fight in boxing is based on luck is plain stupid.

I know sometimes judges make mistakes like the win of casamayor over sta cruz but defenitely not all of casamayor's win is based on luck.

Too much vodka and casinos at las vegas will make you think that winning a fight in boxing is based on luck!:rofl

jeezus, i never said it was calzaghe's fault the fights didnt come off, but the fact is they didnt.

and the fact is his resume would look better with those names on it.
