I've made a sizable bet on LARA

Canelo is beeing groomed to be the next superstar, just like the others said Lara should KO him to win.

 

There's some factors going into this fight.

Canelo has a pretty good chin, he doesnt have the best defense so his chin has been tested.

Lara got dropped badly by left hooks from El perro, a punch that Canelo really favors.

I don't think the judges will lean for Lara in close rounds since:
a) Canelo fights going forward (judges see this as ring leadership), while Lara fights going backwards.
b) Money talks and i hope the judges aren't paid off.

The thing is, i think that if Lara doesnt get the KO he needs to pressure the hell of Canelo and counterpunch him to get a victory.

And i am sure hoping to see Canelo on his ass this saturday.

Well you have some balls. Considering that Canelo can bring much more money to the table than Lara, there is no way the judges gives the nod to Lara even though, I think he can win the fight too..with fair judges. Sadly, boxing is sick...

Canelo's skills has improved but so has Lara's. It's a real tossup. One thing for sure, Canelo is coming for Lara's ass and Lara needs to truly understand that or he will find himself looking up at the ref counting his ass out. If he drain the intensity out of Canelo with some good boxing and lots of hard pot shots, then he has a good chance of taking this fight. I wouldn't rule out a late stoppage for Lara but Canelo has very good whiskers and that would be a long shot.

 

I think Canelo's power will tell the tale. 5th round knock down. 6th or 7th finish.

 

That was in Texas, though. Vegas may be different. Also remember the Al Haymon effect. Trout got wide scores over Cotto in MSG.

 

This might be robbery of the year. It's why I couldnt take Lara.
