than I was watching Direll-Stevens, that was ****ing ******ed...every little movement Stevens made and Direll would run out of the way as fast as he could, showboat and than run some more and popshot with his powder-puff punches.

Was anyone else completely irritated by this ****ing joke?

He dominated the fight. Won every round in my book. It wasn't as bad as everyone made it seem, but the crowd booing has a terrible effect on perception, and the commentators cracking on the fight didn't help either.

I wish Dirrell would sit down a bit more on his shots, he did a few times and mixed it up 2 or 3 times the whole fight, and was successful.. why he doesn't do it more is beyond me.

I still think he has the style to beat a LOT of guys out there, but just not in a style you want to watch, ala B-Hop, Winky, PBF, etc.

Executioner- I completely agree with you. TERRIBLE!! But I was equally disappointed with how ref. Cotton would not allow Ndou any chances to fight in close. They wouldn't even be near a clinch and all you heard all night was "stop, stop, stop, stop, stop!!!" I ain't never seen no **** like that before either. Even my wife was like " why won't he just let them fight?" Cotton killed any chance Ndou had to win. All in all that was easily one of the crappiest HBO shows I may have ever seen.

I think the fault lies more with Stevens, he didn't cut the ring off or take any chances to force Dirrel into exchanges. At least in Dirrels defence you could say his tactics were winning the fight, Stevens was fighting badly and and losing.

I don't think either should have been on an HBO card...

B-Hop, Winky, and Mayweather don't run the way he did. They are all masters of their craft and boxing virtuosos who will be remembered as greats. Dirrell is fast and has great reflexes, but he really just runs around the ring. Stevens has no head movement and his footwork is sub-par, so he couldn't get inside of Dirrell. Get a guy with some skill, power, and the ability to get inside, and Dirrell will be beat.

Lost interest after third round.Went into kitchen and after downing a couple of pints watched from the 8th on.What a mistake. That will be one of the shortest reigns for an HBO card in the history. It was as advertised on HBO-B.A.D.!

Those were strictly prelim kids, or at least should be. Shame on HBO for showing that trainwreck.

The guy running was bad enough, but Stevens was just completely clueless. Not an iota of an idea how to cut the ring, no bodywork, nothing. Pathetic.

Stevens should have cut him off better. In the clinches he wouldn't even really try to fight. Direll was pissing me off tho. That stick your arms up and run is *****. I like boxers. Some compared his style to B-hops. Not even close. B-hop doesn't fight scared.

Did you see Spinks-Mayorga? That was much worse, at least Dirrell hit Stevens with some effective punches and didn't resort to falling down so the ref would save him when he got cornered

I thought it was funny when Lewis said he would pay to see him fight again, then a few seconds later the fight ended and the entire crowd started booing like crazy. I believe Lewis has never said a bad thing about anyone or anything, is his role on HBO to kiss as much ass as possible?:patsch

Lennox is/was a fighter a world champion he knows from experience what its like in the ring. He's been hit hurt and had to fight back.
Tell me how much ring experience do Merchant or Kellerman have??? NONE ZERO NADA. Larry has been a good commentor now he's just entertainment to see him struggle through his monolgues is hilarious Kellerman??... If his knowledge of boxing matched his ego he'd be an encyclopedia. He is a big headed biased bore nothing more nothing less
