I've never seen Darren Barker fight.

I Knew Barker was not properly tested yet. He has the potential to be competitive with the likes of Lee/Mc Ewan/ Macklin but I think there is nothing really between them as I've always said. Belghecam does not get the respect he deserves because of his low KO ratio. I had that fight a draw but would have expected Barker to take the decision being at home but that Judge who had it by 8 is possibly going to somehow, mysteriously a find nice brown envelope somewhere tomorrow. Just by chance of course, ahem.....

I would love that judge to explain himself. How does he only award the Frenchman a couple of rounds???? from round 7 onwards, Barker was shut out in a lot of those rounds. I think there really was only a round in it either way, and would have taken a draw. But Barker's corner were weird as well. A little too calm a corner of a man who was getting smacked around for the last 6 rounds. What does that tell us? That they maybe had some secret knowledge?? I dunno, can't prove this kinda thing, but it all seemed a bit fishy.

I don't know if there was brown envelopes involved to be honest. No conspiracy here. I just think he and his corner were comforted by the fact that he was in his own backyard and home boxers generally get the benefit of the doubt.

On a side note. Apparently Barker's posse were chanting about the holocaust and spewing other racist garbage too. :-:)twisted:

One judge scored the fight 10-2 for Barker when he lost the four most decisive rounds of the fight.

He should be judging the figure skaters.

I agree about the cards. They were shocking, 5-5 with 2 other rounds being very close. Belghecham has a right to rematch imo.

in my opinion, looks like a good boxer and he has a solid defence. however, i get the impression that if you take him out of his comfort zone and really pressure him he will eventually drop his guard and wont be able to box as well as he likes.

good at fighting opponents who dont come after him!!!
