Only bits. My dad anytime he talks about it talks as if it was one of the greatest fights EVER.

    Thoughts?

It is a great fight. Tho i think he's overrated because of it, Mugabi gives a superb showing and there's plenty of give and take both ways. Hagler's determination and durability is too much in the end. I must watch this one again now you mention it. Fantastic fight with a real enigmatic (Mugabi) story behind it.

No problem mate, there's a lot of good fights on youtube. Viewing, tho strained is still good enough for one to get the jist.

Excellent fight. I highly recommend it. Hagler is slightly past his best, but he shows insane determination and will.

A great fight. Not much to really say really other than that.

Great showing of determination, will and skill by both fighters.

Top fight. Hagler doesn't kick into gear and take command until just before the halfway stage. Mugabi is at least evens with him up to that point.

One of the toughest fights over the long course in Hagler's career. Perhaps his toughest since Antuofermo I.

Nice avatar by the way. I must confess to being a Mayweather fan. I wouldn't call myself a 'cheerleader' like some on the general right enough.

the mugabi fight is so great in a sense that during that time you had all these great multi dementional fighters comming up in the ranks .. jackson was young ..grahm was young .. mccalum .. benn .. ect ect all these fighters were all young and wanting shots at the haglers and the leonards and so forth .. .well mugabi was one of those fighters who hagler just happened to fight .. mugabi did lose but thats why you rarely hear his name mentioned with the likes of those who dont think they ever got that big money pay day shot at a hagler or a leonard .. mugabi got his ..it was in a sense a dream fight...had it not happened i believe now when folks look back at this strange 25-0 with 25 kos or whatever fighters ..we'll be saying my god how could hagler possibley fight that off ... funny thing about that fight alot of people prolly never thought about

you'd think he did! the man went toe to toe with marvin for so many rounds before breaking down ..and when he DID break down it wasn't his chin it was more of a mental .."oh **** this guy isn't going anywhere" game
