( Ok , his personal life is another issue of course..) but as a "fighter"...I personally only remember him going into what i would call "killer mode" lol...against Fujita...and that combo was ****ing scary.. The other time was in a short clip i once saw (backstage) , in which we can see him watching his brother getting demolished by crocop. And that's about it... I thought he looked really calm (his usual self) in his two latest fights too. (against sylvia & arlovski)... What am i bringing this up ? Well...because he recently won a sambo competition in 1 min..(beating three opponents in a matter of seconds...kinda like what he did to sylvia , only X 3 ) , sure it's a different sport... But , i'm sure his sambo loss (last year) had something to do with it... He wanted to prove his fans (and maybe himself) that he still was the reigning sambo champ.
Sounds reasonable. The backstage clip from when his brother got trashed by Crocop is actually pretty funny. Everyone is silent when they realize that Fedor is pissed. Of course its "funny", you're trying to release some tension because you know there's a lot when Fedor's pissed.
