I truly believe that both Manny Pacquiao & Floyd Mayweather are the top 2 boxers of this decade.....

I stated before that I ranked Floyd higher than Manny everything considered... after A LOT of thought, I have to admit I was a little bit wrong... I think Pacquiao has achieved a little more aswell as beat slightly better fighters than Floyd throughout the decade (I mean the guy stopped Morales twice, he deserves a ****in gold watch for that alone :D)
but its still not done yet....

Floyd`s needless retirement deservedly hurts his chances of being voted FOTD & as much as I rate Floyd as the `best fighter of this decade` I really think Pacquiao deserves `fighter of the decade` thus far....

I perhaps place skills & natural ability higher than most do & maybe thats why I voted Floyd the other day but its close enough that a clash between the 2 & a winner without contraversy should cement the true FOTD.

In short - Pac has achieved the most & is 1 of the most talented fighters.... Floyd has achieved a lot & is thee most talented fighter.... but actions speak louder than words so Pac leads until proven otherwise.

    :good

If floyd wins against juan manuel then this issue will be resolved before the year ends.

I find it almost impossible to seperate the two right now, if one fighter is better it's by the closest of margins.
The day will come when they meet and finally I'll be able to place one higher than the other.

Don't get me wrong Floyd is HUGELY talented and I have great respect for his skills. It's his resume I have a great problem with. If Floyd had fought Cotto, Margarito and Mosely I would rate him fighter of the decade.

I don't respect him fighting Marquez who's natural weight is 'two divisions' below Mayweathers. Mayweather has an unfair advantage.

The same with Ricky Hatton. The only chance Ricky had of beating Floyd was to use his bullying tactics and greater strength BUT he was actually the smaller man as he was going up in weight from 140 to 147.

Pacquaio was fighting the naturally bigger man in Hatton and destroyed him. Again Ricky's only chance of winning this fight was to use his greater strength and power (I honestly don't think, even with Mayweather Sr in his corner or not at his age Hatton could match Manny in boxing skills). Turns out Manny had the greater strength and power.

I totally agree that if you told me that PAC would be fighting with Mayweather for the P4P I would think that was insane. I thought the DLH fight was a freak joke when I first heard about it. Had no idea that Manny would win convincingly.

I think De La Hoya's corner summed it up perfectly when they were talking about throwing in the towel 'Oscar there's not point carrying on with this....HE'S JUST TOO FAST' :)

I am GENUINELY excited about the PAC-MAYWEATHER fight and honestly have no idea who is going to win. PAC has huge speed and power, Mayweather has never fought anyone like Manny before. Mayweather has god-given boxing skills, Manny has never fought anyone like Mayweather before.

This almost feels like for a moment we are back in the golden age of boxing (Ali, Foreman, Frasier) and are about to witness something huge. I just want to see how Mayweather handles Manny's blinding speed and if Manny can get through Mayweather's defence.
