I've realised being a one division man is extremely rare below heavyweight

Hagler is the biggest name I can think of. Any others examples you guys can think of?

In recent memory, not many. One of the reasons why there’s more moving up and down these days is because with the addition of so many divisions, the gaps between one division to another aren’t so great anymore.

Humberto Gonzalez stayed at light flyweight his whole career if I’m correct. Jeff Harding I’m pretty sure fought at light heavy his whole career as did Dariusz MichalZeski ( spelling. ) There’s definitely a few of them but they’re scarce these days

Harding and Michelzeswki both fought at cruiser and Gonzalez first started at flyweight

I think former WBA champion Ray ‘Boom Boom’ Mancini was a career lightweight who retired after losing back to back title fights against Livingstone Bramble in the mid 1980s. However he did make a couple of losing comeback fights some years later at Light Welterweight against Hector Camacho and Greg Haugen.

Not only that.. the fans from today roundly criticize Hagler for staying at middleweight.

In Hagler's heyday, the 168lb division was nothing but a dream. His next step up would've been the light heavyweight division @ 175lbs

Great call - I wasn’t 100% on that. Did he also always fight at that weight as an AM?

He started pretty young I think - so good chance he was a bit lighter for some period earlier in his AM career but couldn’t say for sure.
