    Fail.

It's done by a computer. Not humans. Get over it.

It's computed by a computer, but what does into the formula is decided by humans. It's just a crap list with a formula that doesn't work.

    :good Spot on.

100 people could come up with 100 different formulas that each produced a different list. You can only say the formula works if comes up with a list that you agree with.

I say they gather all the ATG's names.....mix them in a hat
And place them in the order they come out.

Because in the end, No list is correct.
So it don't mean ****, All opinion.

How about the IBO computings? Much better than boxrec imo.

What's the deal with the IBO, anyway? From my understanding, their rankings are computer-based, but if that's so, why do they advertise some fights as "for the IBO belt" or as a fighter "defending his IBO belt." Who's to say the computer is always going to replace one guy with the next? And couldn't a fighter potentially lose his belt out of the ring (say, the guy behind him wins a fight and gets more "points" or whatever the IBO does)?

NOt really... Their rankings are very biased, and I really doubt a computer generated ranking would have so many "obvious" flaws... I have made threads about this before.........

Yep, Calzaghe is only 50th on that list. Should be a lot higher than that. Bizarre list.

If you look at their rankings, their belt holder isn't necessarily their number one fighter, he just gets a ranking based on his record the same as the rest of them. They say something on their website about true champions will want to fight the best and rise to the top which is very good in theory but not always the case in reality.

The fact even they don't say their belt holders are the best in the world shows it can't really be taken as a real world title but I suppose there is a refreshing honesty about it.
