When Cotto left the ring he thought he had actually won.He refused any interviews and the press conference. He went on to say he didn't agree with the judges. When he got home, he watched the fight, noticed he hadn't won a single round then retracted his statement.

Not only did Mayweather win, he hurt Cotto so many times in that fight from round 4.

Mayweather must be punching like Mike Tyson these days, because if Cotto really thought he won that fight, Floyd did his brain a lot of damage.
Cotto won 2 rounds, at best. The 6th was arguably a Mayweather round, and although Cotto had his best round in round 8, Mayweather landed cleaner.

Absolutely, Cotto clearly lost every round....rounds 6 & 8 where merely efforts on Cotto's part and Floyds part to make the fight look competitive. The rest of the fight was a pure white wash, a freaking clinic and walk in Central Park during the late 80's for a young college student making it out the park without being penetrated by on coming rapists because they sprayed just the right amount of mace.

The scorecards do not tell the whole truth, when Floyd commented about Cotto's ability in the squared ring he wasnt lying.

I think no rounds is a bit harsh..

    I had it..

    MAY- 10 10 10 10 10 9 10 9 9 10 10 10
    COT- 9 9 9 9 9 10 9 9 9 9 9 9

    117-109.

I think, even if its said that Cotto had no rounds that the scoring doesn't reflect the fight at all, it was really competitive and Cotto should be happy with that, he made the fight difficult (could be argued that was because of Mayweathers style that night, etcetc..)

When you score a fight on TV you need to face the screen and open your eyes.

I had that 121-99.5 Mayweather. I gave Floyd three 10-8 rounds for dominating Cotto, and in four other rounds, I deducted a point from Cotto for shots I felt were slightly below the belt. There was another round I deducted a point from Cotto when he attempted to bodyslam Floyd the way he did with Clottey, although on replay, I felt his intent was so malicious that I made that round a 10-7. In the 12th, I felt Floyd performed so well, that he deserved 11 points. But Cotto showed such heart to get to the final bell when he clearly had no idea where he was, that I added on 0.5 onto his total score, making that an 11-8.5 round for Floyd. Good fight. Pretty easy to score.
