I thought I'd join in again with the latest sensation from the "Emerald of the Equator". Iwan Zoda (7-1, 6) is considered by those in the know to be the one prospect from Indonesian to really be worth follow (more so than Defry Palulu). Aged just 18 he has shown thunderous power, a great engine, a fantastic chin, a cool head and vast improvement from his early days. Zoda debuted last year, beating Stev**** Nana Bau- (Incomplete fight footage) [YT]1xKnLr5nScQ[/YT] He suffered his sole loss on the road in Thailand to the then 8-0 Petchchorhae Kokietgym (at the time this was Zoda's second fight). Although losing here he did catch the attention of those fans who watched and were impressed by the inexperienced youngster (who was still only 17!)- [YT]RXnoAt4jO44[/YT] This past Friday he returned to Thailand to fight a rematch with Petchchorhae (Petchchorhae was 13-0, 8 ) and the Indonesian "Sniper" battered the Thai into submission with a real beat down of Petchchorhae in the latter rounds...(seriously rounds 11 and 12 were painful to watch at times)- [YT]sB7AcvVdgT0[/YT] Apparently he will return in November back in Indonesia, hopefully TVRI will air his next bout on their international stream.
