Floyds gonna wanna move on the double jab, duck away so stay on him when he ducks away and catch him but watch the trap thats what Floyds style relys on, Check punchs and Counter Attacks. Don't brawl thats what Floyd wants.

Easier said than done. Especially since PBF is extremley hard to hit and can counter punch his ass off.
Although I don't think a boxer exists from 154 and down you would need these things. First a southpaw PBF doesn't like southpaw's even unca Roger will tell you that. Second have a great jab I mean a Ike quartey, Winky Wright or Sweet Pea Whitaker type. Third you need to have great handspeed like for example somone like Zab or atleast equal to him and beat him to the punch, Zab did this a few times in thier fight. Fourth a good wokrate not a Paul Williams and throw a 100 punches a round type but around 70-80 enough to outwork him since PBF doesn't throw many punches when he's not forced to. Fifth you need good stamina someone who can fight the whole 12 rounds and not fade down the strech. PBF probably has the best stamina in the sport and relies on his opponents getting tired in the late rounds like Zab and Oscar for example. Sixth you need to have good pop because if you don't PBF won't be as cautious and will open up more. Seventh you need good foot speed someone like Hatton who could cover the space quickly but unlike Hatton who can cut off the ring like a prime JLC for example. Eighth good defense and counterpuning PBF has never really faced a fighter with good defense and counterpunching it would be interesting to see how he would react.

Like I said before some fighters posses these attributes but no one has the complete package. Paul Williams comes the closest but throws to many uneccessary punches and has poor defense also Spinks would present problems for PBF as well. Cotto would give PBF a good fight but would lose primarily due to poor defense he would be easy for PBF to hit him and outpoint him to a win.

If I were Oscar I would ask Trinidad's father to wrap my hands for me before the fight. Seriously, Oscar needs to use his tallness, his reach, stay on the outside and box, catch Floyd coming in. The pressure house tactics don't work on Floyd anymore. He is too used to that. If Oscar can still box, and I'm sure he can he needs to do what he does best and not try to fight like Castillo. He will get hit alot, but he would hit Floyd too.

He needs to make Floyd come to him. Let Floyd take chances and counter off of Floyd's mistakes. Floyd isn't nearly as good moving forward as he is moving back. Everyone makes it easy for Floyd with this "just pressure him" attitude. Floyd doesn't have to take any risks, and lets his opponents open themselves up. If Oscar would take his normal half step back and make Floyd reach a little in order to get his own shots in, Oscar could find success in making Floyd pay. Of course he would keep that jab going as well.

the last fight was pretty close.

i was actually impressed with DLH's defense, he was blocking a ton of PBF's shots, especially in the early rounds.

It was a boring fight and very anticlimatic, i knew it wouldnt live up to the hype. both guys were very defensive and no one opened up enough.

I really dont care what dlh can do for the next one, i dont want to see it again. Id rather pbf-cotto happen

I dont think its impossible for dlh to win however, he almost did last time.

Well after all the concoessions Oscar got Floyd to make for the first fight, maybe this time they can put it in the contract that Oscar wins.
    Barring that, forgetaboutit.

DLH is not a swarmer or a pressure guy. Its not even in his nature and defenitely not his forte. His game is to hit you from the outside. PBF is too fast for DLH on the outside. PBF can therefor afford to stay safely in the pocket and throw pot shots at DLH and win round after round.

Two things will make PBF get out of his comfort zone,

    a. if he is behind on points = a laser jab
    b. if you make him fight instead of box = power, strength, pressure,

    a. Paul Williams-his jab would make PBF fight I take Willaims in this one
    b. Cotto- not having one punch KO power is the thing that hurts Miguel here but he has enough of the three power, strength, etc... to put up a good fight. I cant say he would win but has a good chance.

You are saying that Oscar can't do it, because it didn't work for Hatton? I know that you aren't comparing Oscar's technical boxing ability, and ability to box going backwards to Hatton's are you? Let alone the size difference.
