Culcay is hopping around Larbi, ducking in under his jab, hitting the body with rights and backing Larbi up with rocketing up-jabs. Larbi is pushing down on his shoulders with both palms, trying to guide Culcay into the perfect range for a combination but Culcay refuses to stay put.

Round 4

Culcay is approaching with a high guard, bending his knees as he catapults in, chin tucked and flurries on the body or sweeps up top with hooks to make Larbi pull straight back. Larbi is trying to tarp his body by hunching over and extending his elbows without dropping the guard from his face as Culcay pops quick combos over his trunks and keeps him backing up. Jabs on the sidestep by Larbi, sharp but inaccurate as Culcay ducks and bobs and stays with him each time he moves.

Round 5

Culcay is throwing more single blows now, less flurries, and headhunting. Heavily inclined jabs by Culcay jumping in, ducking away from the straighter and more textbook jabs of Larbi. Culcay is fake-stepping in and then bouncing out, circling a few steps to either side to keep Larbi off rhythm. Decent jabs scoring for Larbi on the outside. Right hand over the eye by Larbi as Culcay hops back in a straight line. Culcay is pushing Larbi into the ropes, grazed with jabs while pumping a 1-2 into his chest.

10-9 Culcay but the closest yet.

I honestly think, of all the members of the "Enzo got KTFO by me" club, Frenkel might have potentially been the p4p best.

Consider that puts him in the company of Afolabi, Haye and Lebedev. (along with no-marks Swaby and McKenzie)

 

Round 6

Culcay is leading with uppercuts now and backing Larbi up. 1-2s by Larbi tilting forward and then double jabs while jerking back out and pumping his legs. Combination by Larbi, mostly cuffing the back of Culcay's head as he buzzes fluidly around Larbi in the pocket. Culcay is doubling the jab and shooting the right cross up in between Larbi's eyes.

2013 was a good comeback year but does the run of Wild, McKenzie II and Fry - of which only McKenzie II was technically fought under the 175lb limit (though it was for the Commonwealth belt), meaning the other two were officially @ cruiser - really deserve to net one a light heavyweight world title shot? :think

Round 7

Culcay is leading with pinball-launcher rights from a crouch and snapping Larbi's head back. Culcay forks up the jab from his guard and flurries into Larbi's abdomen to keep him in retreat. Larbi floats out a few left jabs, scoring a fair amount of them but never able to set himself as Culcay harries him with in and out movement and busy hands.
