How can he be so sure? Ellerbe saying things are going smoothly and that there are reports that the fight is almost a done deal. The Mayweathers wouldn't take this fight if they weren't so sure. History has proven that they only fight guys they know they can beat.

Yes, I put up a thread after the Mayweather/Marquez fight comparing it to the DLH/Forbes fight in which I said they both might portend to the same thing, dominating every round of a fight in which you should ko the other guy but not doing so might prove a slipping of reflexes and ability. My main point was Floyd did get hit, quite a bit, by Marquez' right hand and some good left hooks, but people don't see that because they see only stars when they watch Mayweather fight.

I consider that valid. It could have been rust, jitters, or something else, but I could see the animal spirit missing in Mayweather that night as well. He wasn't the perfectly tuned machine he has been at virtually every other time in the past, even beyond the abnormal technical imperfections. Which were not entirely abnormal in their imperfection, because Mayweather is not perfect, just close. He was listless, hesitant, and unimaginative. For him.

Fried to grilled, that's a very high possibility especially if the Mosley that fought Margarito will show up in the rumored Floyd fight. The Mosley that looks to kill his opponent inside the ring.

Look where Margarito gloves are. And why is mosley closing his eyes to throw that punch.

I'd like to have taken Goosen seriously but among other things he thinks Mosley is just as fast as Mayweather. He's not. Not at this stage in the game, friends, certainly. Miranda makes me laugh on here.

Margo is no Floyd in terms of defense but I think Mosley will surely land some powerful punches on Floyd at some point of the fight.

I must have watched the WRONG fight. Floyd BARELY was touched my Marquez. How was he "slipping" or "struggling"? Only time he was caught with a semi-solid punch, he ended up knocking the dude down in the same round. This is just hype but there is no way you can find "slipping" or "struggling" in that fight. At least not from Floyd. Also, Margarito fights the same in EVERY fight. He has NO defense. Shane connected with punched that Margarito saw coming and ate. That is it. How can he be so effective against a boxer who does not like to get hit? Please, this will be a good fight but in NO way will Shane connect like he did against a man who resembles a walking heavy bag with gloves.

He get hardly git at all in this match

  14. I hate to say this but Mayweather is far too much the technician for an old Mosley. Mayweathers guard is too deep.

all these assessments are so terrible... based on nothing

i don't care if you pick shane but atleast make a pick based on something else other than knowing the guy
