If that Mosley shows up he will ass whupped like any other Mosley that could show up. The stage seems to be already set for the excuses of 'he got old overnight' or 'that wasn't the same Mosley who fought Margarito' or 'he had a 16 month layoff', if and when Mayweather wins.

People do not seem to realize that stylistically Mosley has a big disadvantage stepping into that ring. The truth is, he more than likely WILL look old not because he got old overnight, but because he is simply facing a better fighter.

 

Tell me how Shane will neutralize PBF's jab, countering and movement? He doesn't have a jab or have defense against one nor does he deal well with movers, he's wide open and he doesn't adjust. How does he pull it off?:deal

Mosley needs to utilize his mental and physical toughness to win this fight. Mosley chops with his right hand and doesn't have a very stiff jab. But, if Mosley can turn the fight into an ugly one, he's big enough and has a good enough chin to discourage Floyd. If he can stay on top of Floyd and pound him to the body whenever he has Floyd on the ropes, he could win the fight in the late rounds. He is bigger than Hatton and has a better chin, so this plan of action could work.

 

I could definately see that work,Hatton pushed fraud around and he doesnt have the size,the strenght,the chin and the mental toughness that Mosley has and Mosley has used that tactic in the past with great success.

 

Nobody KNOWS they can beat anybody, especially at the elite level, its always a gamble, Id put it more down to belief in his own abilities than knowing he is gonna win.

 

I'll say 1 thing.

If I had to be one of these fighters when they meet, I would much prefer to be Shane Mosley once the bell rings.

I don't think it will work and here's why. Hatton's foot speed really his ability to close the distance is what gave PBF the most trouble. Molsey doesn't have Hattons ability to close the distance or even his footwork for that matter. PBF will be able to outmanuver Mosley at will and control the distance which will be all he needs to keep Mosley from getting on top of him.

 

I stated my case for Hearns and SRL both who hold wins over Duran who's put up on a pedestal here like he's the best thing since sliced bread. I just challenged you to prove my analysis wrong on PBF-Mosley but like in your typical fashion you changed the subject and ran away with your tail between your legs to go an download some more porn.

 

The variable that gave Floyd the most trouble was Hatton's speed, but Hatton went about the fight in an ignorant way. He thought he was going to be the tougher, stronger man in the ring...that was his undoing. He wasn't bigger or stronger man that night...when he figured that out, he collapsed mentally.

Mosley has a better chin and is the tougher man physically. If he can withstand the effective counterpunching from Floyd in the early rounds and continue moving forward, he could start to discourage Floyd. He needs to rely on his mental and physical toughness to win this fight. I'm not saying that he will be successful, but, this is the only way I see Mosley winning this fight...in the later rounds.

 

I hope he is right, but I don't think he is.
