How was this fight? Worth hunting down, even knowing the outcome?

Don't get too confident. Remember this is Estrada we're talking about here.

It was a decent fight for the first 6 rounds. I actually gave Castillo the 1st, 2nd and the 5th rounds. But in the last rounds he had nothing left. Lujan was pretty close to a stoppage win in rounds 8 and 9. Both of those rounds could had been scored 10-8. But at the end I had it 97-93 Lujan. But I have to say that 98-92 or 99-91 scores tell more about the fight, than my score.

Lujan throw 1208 punches and landed 384 times in 10 rounds. Lujan did a nice job. I would not mind seeing him against someone like Quintana or Cintron or Alfonso Gomez next! But the real top dogs do beat up him. Castillo should quit and thats what he has promised to do. I am just glad that did not get stopped, like I predicted.

Lujan v Cintron would be a mismatch, Lujan would do good against Gomez though.

Cintron would be a clear favourite, but it would not be a missmatch! And I agree on that Lujan would beat Gomez.

But hey, if Cotto comes soon back as he might... Then Lujan would be a real nice opponent for him! I would like to see that one!

No. Castillo did basically nothing, Lujan just stood in front of him and threw tons of punches, none really damaging but the volume won the fight. Castillo was a completely spent bullet and it wasn't a good fight, just a whitewash.

It was no great fight, but i was not THAT bad. Castillo hurt Lujan in round 2 with a left hook and Lujan hurt Castillo in round 8 witha a looping right hand.

From 4 to 10 I would give this fight a grade of 7- or 6 and a half. Decent, but not very good fight.

To echo what someone else said, Deigo's family needs to cut the guy a break. No need for him to have to leave hand to mouth to pay them off. He is never going to be able to pay them back because he is physically shot. The man lost his wife and family, he has no real prospects lined up to make money off of, let him at least retire and live in peace.

Anyone know what the deal was with the divorce? I hope he isn't hitting the bottle or drugs out of depression. That would be too sad.
