Great fight while it lasted. Charlo proved his mettle. As for being exposed, tonight was a great example. People were very high on Jrock. But, we never saw how he would do with a puncher. Tonight we saw him get dropped by a left hand jab. A few rounds later it was good night. I thought Charlie power was overrated after he couldn't drop Trout. Perhaps he couldn't land clean on Trout? Or is Jrock hiding a glass chin that got exposed? I'd say that Jrock doesn't have a solid chin. Canelo would destroy Jrock. As would most punchers at 154 or 160
Stop trying to discredit his win. It's more to do with Charlo having a great peformance, and being on a different level than most 154 and that absolute dog **** of a division 160.
I'm not discrediting anything. I wanted Charlo to win. I'm just saying that Jrock was exposed. That word gets thrown around a lot. THIS is an example of being exposed. There were many questions about Jrock before this fight. Now we know his chin is a liability.
We dont now of his chin is a liability, it could just mean Charlo has devastating power. We would need to see a better sample to make that claim. Like Kovalev was rocking Pascal with a jab, let's say Pascal never had wars with froch etc, saying his chin is a liability would be a bad asusmption.
Kov has killer power. He's stopped real tough proven dudes. He knocked down Ward, Chilemba and Bhop. Kov can hurt you with a jab. Watch the trout fight and see the shots Trout took from Charlo. He never got hurt. Yet Jrock got dropped pretty hard from a stiff jab. That says something for me. Let's see how Jrock grows from this loss. As for Jermall I'll be watching his career with interest.
The thing is Trout didnt take clean punches like J-Rock or Pascal did. Trout is super slick, while Pascal is there to be hit. you can say J-Rock's defensive liabilities got exposed, but he did not get hit with the uppercut Charlo landed on him.
