Any other boxers here use a non traditional style of jab? For instance, I throw my jab like so...Imagine you had a hammer in your lead hand. I motion my left like I am attempting to hammer something and as my fist comes down i snap my wrist so my punch turns.

here's sorta of an example 1:20 markhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpmcS_ixyKE

The first jab he threw has more of a chopping motion than a pushing/thrusting motion like tihs video

I do use mainly 4 kinds of jabs:
- Long quick jab when I fight someone of my height or shorter.
- Light jab from middle distance to start a combination or just to avoid my opponent to start an attack.
- Strong stiff jab to end a combination (with more weight , twist and shoulders). I use it to hurt.
- Short double jab as I step in to close distance.
