Nice call. It's really hard to pick against Jacare, but that's definitely one of the two ways I'm seeing it too. Kind of similar to Lombard vs. Palhares, but I don't think Jacare will be as helpless on his feet as Palhares was vs. Lombard. The problem with most bjj guys that cant get takedowns is they don't really set up takedowns offensively very well. Most bjj guys like to strike first and rely on their bjj defensively, like condit and anderson. Others, sort of like Jacare and and Toquinho like to use their bjj offensively, but they always need something to keep the other guy honest so they don't just sit back, stuff the takedown and set up bombs. If Philippou does that, which is really his style, he's running the chance of eating a bomb while looking to stuff the takedown think Hendo.. And Jacare does have crushing power, and the sort of confidence and mind/ ability to adapt on the fly in the fight that Toquinho just doesn't have. Jacare, I think is destined to be great. He has all the tools and a great mind to put it all together. This is his fight to show how well he's put everything together, I think he's going to emerge off of this fight as something truly exceptional in MMA. Well, that's what I hope!
