The WBC I believe is the only governing body in boxing that has a history of overturning decisions.

Last year Hope was given a draw unfairly which was later overturned by the WBC and 2 judges were suspended as a result of their scoring.
    Full story here http://boxingwales.com/latest-news/wbc-make-historic-decision-to-overturn-hopes-controversial-draw-to-a-win/

After the fight last night Mauricio Sulaiman who made the final call to overturn the Hope draw last year, tweeted saying he was "extremely disappointed with the scoring" and would "address the matter".

I think Jack was robbed of a win last night and him winning the fight 8-4 and would very much welcome the decision to be overturned.

    Any agree? Disagree?

What chance do you think that Jack will have this decision overturned

    whats the uproar?

I think the wbc should focus on overturning the browne vs hot rod fight before looking at this one

He won by at least two rounds but not sure it was a big enough robbery to overturn. Shocking scoring from judges in both fights last night though

I personally had it a draw, it was a close fight and wouldn't have complained either way. I struggled to give Jack rounds after the first 5 rounds really and am quite surprised at the supposed controversy from this fight.

Overturn the decision?! You gotta love the WBC; imagine they were in charge of other sports:

The WBC would like to congratulate West Germany, who we have decided deserve a share of the 1966 World Cup; as England's third goal was inconclusive.

Upon England's appeal over the 1986 Quarter Final 'defeat'; Senor Suliman has found no evidence that Mr Maradona handled the ball. Senor Suliman is currently unable to comment on his decision as he is on a four week cruise on his new Yacht; The pride of Argentina.

Senor Suliman has concluded that all cycling and rowing gold medals at the Olympics past will not be recognized. This is because Mexico... sorry Developing Countries were unable to compete in competition, thus making it void.

A decision has to be final unless it can be proved, not speculated, there was cheating involved by one or more parties.

I don't think they'll change the result, I think they said they will investigate it.

But even if they pull the judges in, the judges will just say "from where I was sitting it was a draw", not much they can do after that so I can't see them doing much.

If they do overturn the result then every close or controversial decision will have to be given the same scrutiny and same outcome and the complaints about poor decision on every level of the WBC like silver belts, eliminators would quadruple and the workload would be huge.

Thought Jack nicked it but not by enough to warrant it being a robbery, even less so to require overturning by the body

Jack last two rounds were weak, I think judges like to see a champion finish strong, this is a sport of fittness the champion should be the fittest!

We've seen much worse decisions this month. Just watch the Browne fight, in which a slip and a punch when down was called as a KD by the biased referee and the judges somehow found rounds for him that he lost clearly.

Those are fights that need overruling.

Ridiculous if they do overturn it (they won't)

Jack won the fight but it wasn't the landslide some would have you believe.

Anything from 116-112 Jack to 114-114 is reasonable enough. A few rounds could have gone either way in my opinion.

  14. They need to overturn Burns Beltran's draw first and strip that fraud's name of ever being champ from the history books.

I'm all for correcting things when a travesty has occurred, but this is the WBC and they would only intervene if it suited them (and this was hardly a travesty).
