That's true but he lacks something. His inside game is messy, his foot speed is average, as is hand speed. His defence is nothing of note, & against Nurse he compromised himself to get inside and make it messy. Against really good opposition, he'll get picked off.

He tired notably too in that fight & work gets extra messy with more mistakes. He's a poor man's Prograis when I watch him fight.

I can tell you cat either struggles with the weight or he doesnt do it properly.
I went down to watch him weiigh in when he fought nurse and was stood next to him as he was getting ready to weigh in at the nurse fight. He waa stood with his trainer and jamie arthur. Jamie was speaking to cat and you could tell he was dead behind the eyes. It would take him like a second or two to answer the conversation. He was dehydrated severly. No way can you fully recover and go into a top fight in that state. Its a mockery that so called athletes are in this state 24hrs before competition.

I’m not sure he beats Catterall at all and I’d also fancy Nurse against him. I’d imagine the Catterall fight is next for Davies after the o2 card as Frank wants to build this domestic world champion thing up with them two and Terry Flanagan.

I think you would be surprised. Nurse is poor and no power, that long OD right hand and jab gives him nightmares & with OD moving to FW, we might see those fights.

Catterall might win but he doesn't win well. He'll struggle with OD to be to honest. OD looked wild against someone who baited him in to leading, slipped lead & punished with counters, body work as well. Taylor needed 3 rounds to get that range and timing down. Those two do not possess that skill, Taylor set traps and punished Davies. Nurse in particular just fights on instinct, he doesn't follow or stick to a game plan & although OD struggles on the inside he still swings, Taylor slipped & rolled those shots. Nurse is shot. He's done.

Hope these fights happen, I'll be in a minority giving OD a chance.

I just think Nurse will be too awkward for him and outbox him. OD running round chasing shadows. It’s not one I’m completely adamant about however!

Tyrone Nurse could have had a much better career had he stuck to a game plan and utilised his natural advantages. Despite not having power, he simply can not help getting into a tear-up. He loves it. He gives anyone domestically a headache though, and to his credit he has never been stopped.

Jack has stepped in for Sutcliffe to box Tyrone McKenna on the Conlan undercard. That’s a great move from all parties and I think Catterall schools McKenna.

The guy to look out for in this division is Akeem Ennis Brown. He is still early in his professional career but I have seen him fight a few times and he has speed confidence and is very awkward. He might lack the power but he has already beaten the current Commenwealth Champion Glenn Foot in his home town and he will give the top British guys a good fight.

You’re not going anywhere with that sort of power, or lack of.
