I thought Catterall looked pretty impressive in Dubai, if he's got the power to keep Ramirez at bay he might have a good chance of taking a decision. I'd like to see Taylor vs Catterall.
Not so. Look at the names on Catteral's record. He cleaned up at home before moving up. Totally earned his chance.
to be fair he's done his time crawling up the wbo rankings but he hasn't beat anyone above European level,that is a worry for me when he fights any legit top 10 fighters.
Totally understand. It's still a big step but it's often the way these days. Lads are catapulted straight into world level without testing themselves at, what I would call intermediate level. It's now seen as too risky. I'm old enough to remember fights like Mark Kaylor v Buster Drayton but more recently we had Adam Etches v Sergei Khomitsky. That looks to have finished Etches. Either way, poorer fighters than Catterall have had opportunities and Jack deserves to find out just where he is at in world terms.
