evander holyfield 87 never did beat a fighter as aggressive, as good finisher like dempsey, dempsey could well beat this skinny green with poor experience version of evander

Tommo's top ten list is final proof he has no idea what he is talking about. A joke. The boxing world laughs in your general direction.

The problem with these lists is that people like to throw them out without defining the context, the criteria. You have chosen head to head as the sole criterium, which excludes legacy, record against contemporaries, longevity, championship record... a lot of what we consider important in the sport.

OK, that is fine. You have defined your criteria or criterium in this case. It is narrow but is your choice.

Here is where you go off the rails. David Haye is not a top-10 anything. And Ali is a head to head nightmare. He was a large, large man who possessed, not only great speed and reflexes hitherto seen in a man his size, but great stamina and fighting heart. And an all-time chin. Comparing him to a fighter so incomplete and unaccomplished as Haye is just disgraceful. And this is in a head to head context. I wouldn't even give Haye a chance to last more than 6 rounds with Floyd Patterson. He's just not that good. And that stiff Valuev scared him shitless for most of the fight so his fighting heart leaves much to be questioned.

I am more of a modernist than most on this board. I actually do think that size, among roughly equivalently talented fights, means a whole hell of a lot.

But, sorry, you really don't have even the most basic grasp of this sport. Hopefully, you are young and have time to learn more.

He's a troll. Go look at just about everything he's posted since he joined here (coincidentally, right around the time the new administration took over). Obviously he is someone planted here to be as contrary as possible to keep things stirred-up. Look how busily he's been posting. Almost a thousand posts in one month. That's going at it full-time.

Obviously someone with a vested interest in this site. I don't debate with trolls and I suggest you don't waste your energy on such an obvious decoy either.

Very keen observation. This does answer plenty of questions. Tommo is officially on ignore.
