I was looking at Jack Dempsey pictures, and found one where he was apparently involved in a fight with Primo Carnera when he was a ref for a wrestling match. Dempsey told Carnera to stop fouling in the wrestling match, and Primo continued. So, Jack got sick of it and popped Carnera and the fight was broken up. I was just wondering if anyone knew about the incident, and I was wondering if it was real or fake. This content is protected
looks like a show ...but if it was a real lifer...one could say primo looks scared to **** ..and a slightly aged jack dempsy looks ready to rumble
To all the Dempsey haters and Carnera lovers that abound nowadays....you know that in their primes that Dempsey would have snuffed out poor Primo much like he did Willard, only quicker. It would have been done in a more hard core and ruthless a manner that Max Baer didn't approximate against Carnera. Like a panther attacking an antelope, Dempsey would have slaughtered poor Primo.
poor primo couldnt have lasted very long against a prime dempsey prob.not long against the aged man you see in the photo no disrespect to primo but dempsey, louis, rocky even a prime walcott were a different breed ,however i give primo a good shot at some of todays so called (bigger, stronger, more skilled champs or chumps wichever you prefer)
I'm like 90% sure it was fake and staged, but I knew Jack had a temper which is why I wasn't 100% sure because I know Jack had a temper.
did everyone know about the 70 year old dempsey that spun around and dropped 2 would be muggers in front of his apartment, then they voluntarily layed there untill the police arrived that had to be funnier than hell
BIG DEE HERE=They didn`t exactly lay there voluntarily as Jack knocked them both out cold on the sidewalk after he had stepped from a cab after coming home from closing his famous restarant and the cab driver was a witness to it all. THAT CABBIE HAD TO BE LAUGHING HIS ASS OFF AS I KNOW I WOULD BE.
Something similar happened to Jem Mace when he was in his mid 70s. He left his would be mugger in a coma for two days and was seriously woried that he would not come round.
