Hope you're back and editing more again? Your Robinson, Louis, Leonard and Liston tributes were ace, some of the best ive ever seen
Thanks Tippy! Although I've been busy, there are still great fighters out there I have yet to make a video on. Walcott or Marciano should be next!
Dempsey-Willard was a brutal fight. Referee should have forced Dempsey to step back further. Referee probably should have stopped it. Corner should have stopped it after the 1st round. The round was not short - it was 3 minutes in length and Willard was saved by the bell. One more reason why a fighter should not be able to be saved by the bell. That was a bad rule - if you can't get up in ten seconds you should be out. That would have been more merciful.
Dempsey today would not be 190. Wlad, Holy and Tyson would be lighter less muscular fighters in 1919. Dempsey on Roids is something nightmares are made of.
Normally Dempsey is known for his left hook, which was very powerful and effective in the Willard fight, but his right uppercut also caught my eye in this one. It was very powerful and sneaky, jolting Willard's head on several occasions.
