    He was just as big, one of the trios of sports of the 1920's. He pretty ,much put Tennis on the map in the 20's.

    When people say "Sports" 1920's" and "Trios", they mean Babe, Dempsey Red Grange(America football and of couse Bill for tennis.

    It is a pretty old sport. dating around the 1800's I belive.

    Yeah, see but I know who Bobby Jones is. I'm a casual tennis fan who appreciates the open era history. But that dividing line almost allows for you to never ever hear about the pre 1960's era in broadcasts.
