I have no idea if he was clean or not when he was embarrassing Holyfield. Pro fighters in big fights tend to be clean (at least of non-PED’s, hey?), but crack addicts tend to never or rarely get off crack, too. Either could be true.

What I do have a clear picture of is your deep emotional investment in Holyfield, & so the attempt to make excuses & talk up Bert freakin’ Cooper

Personally I’m suspicious of Dempsey & the gloves thing, at least somewhat. But there isn’t a convincing case either way. Even the reports of Willard’s injuries vary wildly. You don’t have any idea whether they were loaded either, but you won’t let that stop you making a fool of yourself.

You see what I did there? That’s called objectivity.

Embarrassing Holyfield ??? He had a few seconds of success. Did Evander need help from the audience to beat him? You’re ridiculous

A 210+ pound Moorer who spent a majority of his career at Heavyweight infact Moorer weighed exactly the same as Holyfield in their 1st fight 214 pounds and in their rematch Moorer weighed 9 pounds heavier than Holyfield at 223 pounds some "Light Heavyweight".

Holyfield had 0 advantages over Moorer in regards to size it's quite obvious to anyone who an ounce of logic that Moorer was cutting extreme weight to make Light Heavyweight and he was nowhere near close to a natural Light Heavyweight thats why he was only in the division for 2 years.

Just to highlight Moorer spent 17 years as a Heavyweight from 1991 to 2008 compared to 2 years as a Light Heavyweight from 1988 to 1990 I would say that makes him more of a "Heavyweight".

You have to be the densest cheerleader I’ve ever seen. Seriously. Read the thread. Grasp the context in which Moorer was brought up.

Bert Cooper is alot like Dereck Chisora now a dangerous fringe contender who may not be an elite Heavyweight but if he was motivated he could be a tough night for alot of Heavyweights.

Bert Cooper was actually trained by Joe Frazier at one point and was quite a highly rated Cruiserweight prospect at one time. He had a great fight vs Henry Tillman he also had very memorable fights vs Moorer, Mercer, infact he came within a whisker of beating Moorer in the 1st round.

Bert Cooper hit hard and Holyfield was trying to impress in his hometown and got caught with a shot he didn't see coming it can happen to anyone. If you go back in history you'll find pretty much every ATG Heavyweight has had struggles vs lesser opponents Dempsey included who even lost to a journeyman!!!!

Tell me this is dominating and stopping Cooper outside of a brief scare in the 3rd round worse than getting KO'ed by a journeyman in 1 round like Dempsey ?

You would think by picking Dempsey to win I insulted your mother (or pulled your Evander poster off your wall)

Moorer didn't beat any ranked contenders at heavyweight aside from Holyfield himself. Without that win Moorer might not even rate in the top 500 at heavyweight given how poor the rest of his resume is.
