Could Dempsey overcome modern Kownacki's modern advanced scientific boxing, advanced scientific modern training, and scientific modern advanced nutrition? How about Firpo Vs Kownacki?
260+ lbs. Modern nutrition. Modern science. Modern skills. Kownacki has it all. I'm not sure past greats like Dempsey, Louis or Ali would be able to compete with today's monsters like Adam Kownacki.
Firpo would think he was too crude to bother with. Take a guy like Jimmy Ellis 1969. He would box circles around those guys I saw tonight.
You are 100% correct, but the guy threw 77 punches a round tonight. He is going to beat a lot of guys. Fat **** or no, not many heavies are going to be able to keep up with him. This guy is going to be Derrick Chisora or Bert Cooper: no world beater but an entertaining money fighter with a fan base.
I dont mind what he looks like if he's in shape but the punching looked sloppy. I honestly thing it was 4 round guys filling in time.
Y'all're serious? Dempsey'd clobber that bum. Look at the difference in powerline. Adam seems to have never heard of it. Jack's a goddamn master.
Sure! he just decisioned a guy who hasn’t fought in over a year and is unranked on Boxrec I don’t see why it’s premature!
Early on in his fight, I was saying this guy reminds me of somebody. It came to me and its Tony Galento. Same sometimes plodding wide misses, similar builds and tough as nails with good power.
This. Adam is a fat slob. Dempsey ran through big guys like a knife going through butter. The smaller guys that were quick and clever were the guys that gave Dempsey trouble. If Adam was serious he'd never be over 230 lbs when its fight time. Dempsey sparring with big Bill Tate 6'6" 235 lbs This content is protected
Dempsey might be greater (I'll throw the classicists that sop), but Kownacki is a head-to-head monster, like Sane Ibeabuchi, Classic Forum Tua, Floyd Patterson from 0:50 to 1:29 of the first Liston fight (nobody beats that Patterson), and Motivated Jimmy Young.
