I have seen footage of Dempsey, for his time, Yes he is an ATG, but Carl Lewis aint better than Hussaine Bolt.

The Roman Empire was a beauty, but The British Empire dwarefed little Rome.

Guys things evolve and Progress. Demspey all the way to Holyfield would struggle with these new heavyweight beast.

From Jack Johnson to Lennox Lewis, boxing has taken their attributes and added it to the new fighters.

Watch when the Maywether heavies come out the wood works. or the Lomochenko middles in the future.

Fighting like jack johnson or dempsey today would get you murdered.

potential is great, pretty much every post here says Joshua could be great, but he isn't yet.

It’s AJ’s fight to win unless he goes out there like against Dubois; static, throwing rear uppercuts with his chin sticking out and his head on the centre line. Dempsey’s infighting is also worrisome, so AJ can’t really afford to take a breather.

That's the whole problem with the "on top" fighters like Joshua. They certainly look like an a to a+ guy in those scenarios. When they are not "on top" they are very vulnerable. And instantly become a C grade fighter.

As it pertains to this fight--I think the Joshua camp would simply have to have the fight in their backyard. Make Dempsey the road warrior. Of the 2, I think Rickard would more more willing to have his guy being the road warrior. I sure do not see a Joshua with his A game if he is the guy taking his act on the road in a high profile bout like this.

Would be an interesting bout to watch because one of them is getting battered and stopped. And probably never the same > this fight.
