With rules Dempsey wins no problems at all.

Without rules Dempsey probably wins too, but be a better fight because Bruce was known to be an awesome dirty fighter, but just like Kimbo Slice's early days, how good were Lee's opponents? They were just street fighters and they probably would of got mauled by any pro fighter.

Dempsey was a far more dirty fighter then any actor. Guy came up fighting in bars. Sometimes they were more or less boxing matches, other times brutal street fights. He knew a **** load about wrestling and had a aggressive style.

He did lose once in a for money bar fight at the age of 16. At the time he was only 120 pounds (still in bruces weight class though) fought a 30 year old 250 pound miner who picked Dempsey up and slammed him on his head knocking him out. I know bruce fought on the the streets of hong kong, but I don't think he had real gangster cred like dempsey.

Thread starter is a idiot to even ask this, also born again hard sounds like some kind of child molester name.

this might sound crazy but didnt bruce lee master the 1 inch punch?
I saw a tv series that said that if it was mastered properly it could someone obviously i dont whether that **** was true but the idea of bruce lee landing that punch reminds me of this.

Yeah I think he was a impressive physical specimen, but not sure how legit the one inch punch really was. So who knows?

To be fair to Bruce, he wasnt just an actor, he had a bunch of street fights in the US too.

But like I said before, the guys he fought where probably just bums.

I think like what Bus Rutten said, Bruce was a quick learner, give him a few years to train and he would be a force in HIS division. Saying he would beat guys like Tyson etc is madness. I mean anyone has a chance in a street fight, but its a slim one for Lee.

people always go on about how bruce lee was only an actor. he was a martial artist before he was in the movies.
    lee wins.

yeah..he was also a 130 pounder who really was horrible at grappling till he trained with gene labell and even then wasnt anything great.

of course dempsey was no gracie..but other then bruce landing a great kick right to the knee or balls i dont see anyway he wins (and in a mma match at least both are illegal)

People have not learned that grappling is the most successful form of combat yet. Of course Jack was no BJJ expert, but he could grapple, more than sufficiently to take a 140lbser down at any rate. And I dont need to talk about his striking do I

Bruce tries to trade punches with Jack, he gets his head knocked of, almost literally. Bruce tries to maintain the distance using footwork and side kicks, he gets taken down and beaten up then submitted

Simple really there is much more to it. Id give Lee a chance if he could take a pair of Nunchukas in there with his I guess

dempsey was also freakishly strong, and while strength isnt everything by far, the strength to do 200 hundred pull ups in a day would come in handy when dealing with a 140 or so pound guy (although i have heard the story that bruce was very strong, and i am sure its true, but very strong at 185 and very strong at 140 are two different things).

If I had made a thread Rampage v Pettis and started saying Pettis could win with speed and kicks I would be laughed off the forum

Same thing as Lee v Jack, but it's Bruce, and there's a major cult of personality involved here

he did beat a 7 foot tall black basketball player in a movie once though.

that is better then beating up a 6"7 white heavyweight champion:deal
