Jack dempsey vs david haye

I think you're putting a sight more confidence in that ride than it merits, given the chasm between the principals here.

 

Does David Haye even exist ?
Or is he some slightly gay figment of my imagination ?
I've been having nightmares.

David Haye has only achieved one win over a ranked heavyweight, and that was his lacklustre win over the #5 rated Valuev.

If we wanted to stretch a point in his favour, we might say that Mormeck would have likely had a heavyweight ranking then , if the cruiserweight division had not existed.

Lets stretch it a bit further and say that Chisora might have had a ranking, if certain decisions had gone in his favour.

People criticise Jack Dempsey for failing to meet some of his key contenders, and perhaps they are right to do so, but he was a veritable saint compared to Haye.

Haye arguably represents the very pinnacle of the cherry picker, in fact I sometimes think that he has taken it to a new level!

 

Even though I admire Hayes power and speed i don't think he would fight aggressive vs Dempsey. I have to go with JD here

 

How many times has Haye been knocked out?

 

As a professional, only once been stopped.
But then he's only had a few fights.

 

Zero. Thompson didn't knock Haye out it was a corner stoppage.

 

There is significant cause to wonder if the Flynn fight was fixed.

Some skills have improved, some have faded. Dempsey had great skills.
The "Dempsey Roll" was surely a (difficult to execute) combinatiom, & the ferocity of his attack sure had combinations. though he was crude in some ways...

Also there is surprising science saying the weight of gloves does not effect power.

 

So Dempsey,Tunney and Benny Leonard had no skills?

 

Yes indeed! Haye showed his colours against Wlad.

 

This thread looks like a Dempsey circle jerk. The reality is that Haye holds every conceivable advantage over Dempsey H2H. He's bigger, faster, longer reach, hits harder and has superior boxing skills. Haye would knock Dempsey out.

 

Haye is very clumsy. He has bad footwork and overshoots his punches, this gives him bad balance when going on attack mode. He also has **** punch variety when throwing combo's and especially when he's going for the kill when he has someone hurt. He's a mess. He often stumbles into his opponent when missing with a haymaker :deal He is decent at moving about the ring looking for the right hand and has a good jab right hand. Other than having some physical gifts that make him explosive (speed, power and reflexes) he's fundamentally and technically garbage :deal

Dempsey would push his **** in.

 

Haye couldn't even knock out Wladimir Klitschko ffsatsch
