Can someone please explain how Dempsey stops Evander?
We're talking about a guy who stood upto Foreman, Mercer, Bowe, Tyson, Rahman and Lewis. All hit harder and weigh more than Dempsey

Liston would handle the CW version of Holyfield easier. I think he needs to be in HW form to beat Liston.

This is the cruiser version that fought Qawi, not the HW version that fought the above named characters.

Holy beat Dokes, Bowe, Moorer, Tyson x2, Mercer, Douglas, Foreman, Qawi, Ruiz... only stopped by Bowe in his prime.

And Dempsey beat who? Jess Willard?

And Dempsey is supposed to have some sort of resume that leads one to conclude he would KO Holy?

Would be like Holyfield v Dokes imo. Dempsey giving Him a rough ride, then Holy eventually stopping him around the 10 th.

Based on what, exactly? Which opponents did Dempsey beat that would remotely suggest such a thing?

Dempsey one of the hardest punchers in the divisions history. What does he have something like 50 or more first round knockouts. Look how short the hook was that stopped Sharkey. What he did to Williard doesnt need repeating.
Holy cant resist a firefight and hes not gonna beat Dempsey in a firefight. Not happening.

Holy would blast out Sharkey far more quickly.

He hit an unprotected Willard with 100 Sunday punches and still didn't put him out. There. I repeated it.

Yeah but this is the 187 pound version of Holyfield. If Holyfield was 187 pounds vs the above named, how would he have done?

    Oh... My bad.

That's a bit tougher, not because of the extra pounds but the extra championship experience Vander had by the time he was heavy champ. ut I'm still going with Holy. But this one would be a helluva war.

The only version of Miske he comprehensively defeated was so sick he couldn't eat and could barely train in the week up to the fight. He had to cancel public workouts to stay in bed.
